Definition of my personal learning network:
In order to prepare students for the rapid changes in life, I will want to devlop a personal learning network where I can have a toolbox of usable, easily accessible, relevant, up to date resources to draw from and share information with my students and colleagues. I can develop ways to 1)connect 2)mine 3)map the conversations that take place up to the current moment all around the world through the use of valuable websites and links on the internet! I can use these for developing lesson plans, trouble shooting, research, class projects, current event conversations with students, class buddies with another school, communicating with parents or students, and many other uses.
I can do my job as an educator by finding new ways to pay attention to their needs as learners. A personal learning network includes links to people and sources from right in my own classroom, school, community, nation and world. With my personal learning network, I can share my voice and provide opportunities for others to make meaningful connections to the curriculum or learning experiences. Blogs, wikis, podcasts, websites will become helpful tools for creating and growing my personal learning network as an educator.
